Today, I am grateful for the gift of God that is Facebook.

Okay, I'm officially a horrible person, because I so just mocked someone in my friend's ward who actually used that sentence when bearing her testimony in church. (But can you blame me? I mean, it is funny.) Regardless of how it was intended to be heard, it makes me LOL every time I hear/say it. And, well, today... it's true.

Today I am super grateful for Facebook, because today I am meeting two girls I knew back in the mid-90's, in my BYU 3rd Ward days. (Which, by the way, were some fabulous days/weeks/months/years, for any of you who were wondering.) Some of the most amazing people I've ever known and some of the best friends I've ever had came out of that ward. Last month, I had lunch with my friend Amy and it was so much fun to catch up - to spend time with someone who knew me back in the day, and knew all of my friends & family, too. This afternoon, I'm having lunch with Shannon and Leslie. And I'm thinking that by the end of the summer, I'll be able to have seen Verena, too. (Next on the list, I've GOT to find a way to get Shana and Tiffany together with Julie and me for a little faux-cousin reunion.)

Oh, my goodness gracious, I'm giddy about lunch today. (And not just because I'm going someplace that I've never been before.) It's been so fun to have been able to chat here and there on FB, but now that I get to see two more of my girls from back in the day, I'm so dang excited that I could just squeal!

That is all. Hopefully, I'll have pics to post later. (I say "hopefully", because I know myself all too well. I get busy talking and forget to bust the camera out. I had my camera with me ALL DAY at Amy's, at lunch, and back at Amy's... and didn't think even once that I should shut up and smile pretty for a picture.) Wish me luck! :-)
